AIR FINS HEATER
Air Fins Heater
Air Fins Heaters are high-performance finned tubular heaters designed for efficient air and gas heating. Aluminium fins increase the surface area for faster heat transfer, better wattage output, and longer heater life. Suitable for forced convection applications, these heaters can operate up to 750°C and are available in customized configurations with UL and IEC certified quality standards.
Air Fins Heater
Industrial heating technology has evolved significantly through the introduction of fins on tubular heaters. Finned tubular heaters, which combine rugged tubular heating elements with metallic fins, provide a high degree of heat transfer for use in air and gas heating applications. Heater Dekho Instrumentals, an industry expert in the manufacture of tubular heaters, produces high-quality finned tubular heaters designed for high-performance forced convection heating applications with low and medium temperature operation.
Finned tubular heaters have continuous metallic fins that are brazed, crimped, or welded onto a protective sheath containing a nickel chromium resistance heating element positioned concentrically inside of a high-purity magnesium oxide insulation material. The addition of fins creates a larger heat dissipation surface area. This results in improving transfer speeds, increasing wattage output, and decreasing the overall surface temperature of the elements, extending their usable life. Finned tubular heaters can operate effectively up to 750°C and can be fabricated into complex configurations to meet a variety of industrial applications. With UL, IEC certification, Heater Dekho also provides heating systems that comply with stringent requirements of many global quality standards.
Types of Finned Tubular Heaters
- Single Ended Finned Tubular Heaters: End to the end with both terminal ends of heater having seal at other end.
- Double Ended Finned Tubular Heaters: Terminal at end provides excellent field bending ability through heater.
- Brazed Fin: The fin has a metallurgical bond ensuring maximum heat transfer and structural integrity.
- Crimped Fin: The fin is mechanically bonded to the tube for almost no vibration from tube to tube over the life of the heater.
- Welded Fin: The fin is permanently attached to the tube giving the fin a bond for extreme heat demand applications.
Features of Finned Tubular Heaters
- Enhanced Heat Transfer: By utilizing a larger surface area, the heat dissipation rate is greatly increased.
- Longer Lifespan: An increase in the surface area will lead to a significant increase in the operational life of the heater.
- Durable Construction: Nickel chromium wire with magnesium oxide insulation for durability.
- Vibration Resistant: The attachment of fins mechanically prevents high air velocity vibrations.
- Versatile Termination Options: Termination options are Teflon, silicon, or epoxy to match the environment where the heater is to be installed.
- Customizable Configurations: The heater can have almost any combination of bends, cold sections, brackets and other features to meet specific application needs.
- Wide Diameter Range: The heater is available in many diameters based on your heating requirement.
- High Watt Density: This heater can achieve up to 120-watt per square inch density.
Applications of Finned Tubular Heaters
- Industrial ovens: Reliable temperature control when baking, curing & drying.
- Air conditioning: Efficient forced convection heating used for HVAC climate control.
- Drying cabinets: Controlled heat for moisture removal in pharmaceutical & textile processing.
- Autoclave: Medical equipment and labs can use autoclaves to control temperature for sterilization.
- Dehumidifiers: It can produce heat in order to remove moisture from both industrial and commercial applications.
- Organic resins: Are cured with controlled heating and used in polymer processes to cure composites.
- Dryers: Used intentionally to remove moisture from plastic pellets before they are molded.
- Convective Gas Heating: Are an effective way to heat gas for chemical and industrial manufacturing processes.
